I was first elected to St Wulfram’s Ward in 2011 and was pleased to be re-elected in 2015 and 2019. I have lived and worked in Grantham for many years, spending much of my time helping businesses to start up and grow, many of which are still trading locally and have grown substantially. I will continue to promote Grantham as a great place to live, work and play.
During my second term I was responsible for overseeing the building of the new 5 screen cinema in Grantham, an investment of nearly £6m. As part of the cinema project, Lincoln University is establishing a base in part of the building bringing advanced educational facilities up to level 9, aimed at people of all ages, employed or not seeking to improve/gain skills.
I with my fellow councillors will continue to promote Grantham and work to attract businesses of all shapes and sizes to our town. I will also continue to work with my colleagues to achieve a positive solution for Grantham Hospital.
The next 4 years will see many changes in Grantham, not least the completion of the long awaited Relief Road.
