Cllr Martin Hill OBE

Vice President

Martin has been a county councillor since 1993 for Folkingham Rural which represents 25 parishes between Sleaford, Bourne and Grantham and was elected Leader in 2005.

He was awarded the OBE for services to Lincolnshire in 2008.

In 2011 Martin was elected chairman of East Midlands Councils whose main aims are to support 45 local authorities to improve their services and provide a strong voice for the region.

Martin has lived within the county for most of his life. He now lives at Kirby Underwood just north of Bourne in a former pub with his wife, Janice and Patterdale terrier Boris!

Following a 30 year career as a farmer, Martin’s increased local authority responsibilities mean that he is now a full-time councillor.

Martin is a former Constituency Chairman of Grantham & Stamford and is now a Vice-President and Trustee of the Association.
